  • There will be two tournaments, singles and doubles both handicap.
  • Singles will be June 23rd. doubles will be held June 30th.
  • There is no requirement to play both tournaments.
  • Pre-registration is required. The deadline is Sunday, June 20. Register at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • No extra fee to enter the tournament (other than the usual season pass or drop-in fee).
  • All rated players are eligible and encouraged to participate in the tournament.
  • Doubles: Find your own partner. If can not find one, we will assign one at the tournament.

  • Format of play: Singles 41 point Handicap with Groups drawn randomly within like rated groups.
  • The most recent ratings from Ratings Central will be used.

Rules

  • The match one game to 41 points.
  • A higher rated player spots some points to a lower rated player depending on their rating differences (to provide an equal win opportunity to all players).
  • The higher rated player will serve first and the lower rated player will get to pick a side.
  • In case of no rating difference or no points spotted, regular drawing of service should be used. One person would then pick to serve, and the other pick the side of the table.
  • 5-point change of service will be used. When the game starts, the player who served first will only serve until the points are divisible by 5.

The first column in the table is the rating differences between the two players, and the right column is the number of points that the higher rated player would spot for the lower rated player. For example, if Player A has a rating of 1500 and Player B has a rating of 1000, the match would start with 0-21 in favor of Player B.
